Anybody a fan of random quizzes? There's one floating on tumblr and discord that I found fun. Has anybody seen any other good ones?

What type of Lucian Magic do you wield best?

Mine was:

Lightning

Sometimes, you just want to do damage and get that thing away from you. Sometimes you want to strike fear into the hearts of all around you. That is very valid and you look very terrifying wielding such elemental might. (Please don't hurt us)

Does your result match up with your actual Favorite Magic from the game? For me I usually tried to roll with the weak points of every creature but Lightning and Fire are both satisfying to watch enemies get zapped with. Unfortunately there was a LOT of friendly fire for me especially when Prompto fought enemies up close.

Brotherhood Commentary: Bittersweet Memories

Hey all! So after a bit of convincing, my Japanese-speaking friend and fellow FFXV fan goldentunes kindly agreed to provide an English summary of the Brotherhood audio commentary, which is only available in Japanese (no subs) on the Blu-ray disc. Here is the summary of Brotherhood Episode 4: Bittersweet Memories, with a focus on my dear boy Ignis's relationship with Noctis. The two people speaking in the commentary are Hajime Tabata, the director of FFXV, and Soichi Masui, the director of Brotherhood. Please credit goldentunes if you repost the below:

Hey, anyone still alive in the FFXV community? I recently finished the game and became utterly obsessed with the Chocobros. Bought all the DLC, Blu-rays, artbooks, and soundtracks, and am already on an NG+ playthrough cause that ending... man, it's no exaggeration to say it broke my heart T_T. I'd love to meet other fans to chat with/rant at/cling to for emotional support. So! Anyone still around on DW?

I also have a question about FFXV: Brotherhood. So I bought the Blu-ray (Japanese import) and discovered there is an audio commentary track! Sadly, it's in Japanese without any subtitles. Is there a Japanese-speaking fan who'd be willing to translate it? Or at least provide a summary of the main points? (I can send you the audio files). I'm especially interested in the commentary on Ignis's episode, Bittersweet Memories, as I heard the writers originally had a different plot in mind. Would love to know what it was about!

Another mobile game post, but it has come to my attention that this game features text messages from the chocobros as if they are playing the game with you when matched up. That is a really cute touch. Not sure if it was ever mentioned at launch, but I wasn't aware of it. I'm a sucker for that kind of thing (forever bitter I got to Mass Effect too late and missed the ME3 app)

Royal Edition: Addendum

A few more things have come to light (excuse the pun) since this morning, including:

- A new patch coming out 21st January featuring new camp options (a new character to spar with, and the option to rest for only part of the day to skip time), and will also remove the Assassin's Festival.
- A new artbook!
- A second soundtrack featuring DLC music.

Also, the Steam version of the full Royal Edition will have new outfits as a pre-order bonus - I really, really hope they will make this available some other way, even if it's paid.

The Royal Edition of the game has been announced, along with the Royal Pack upgrade for those who already own the game, and the release date for both along with the Windows Edition is 6th March 2018.

Dissidia NT!

The Dissidia NT Open Beta is out! I was only able to try it out for the first time yesterday. Has anyone tried it? With regard to FFXV content:

I found the combat a lot trickier than in previous Dissidia games. They have overhauled a few things - Jump is circle and there's no way to change it, for one. There are a few things in the tutorial I haven't managed to clear yet. However, I am super excited for it and I can't wait for the full version at the end of the month.
